Will a car lift fit your garage?

Put in your ceiling height, what you drive and your slab. We check clearance, rise and concrete before we name a lift.

1Ceiling

inches

Measure to the lowest thing overhead. That's usually the door track, not the ceiling.

What is lowest overhead?

2Vehicle

Tallest car or truck you'll put on it

Curb weights. Tools, fuel and a passenger add a few hundred pounds.

3Slab

inches

Don't know? Leave it blank. Drill a test hole away from rebar, or measure at an exposed edge.

How old is the concrete?
Any cracks where the posts would go?

How we work it out

Every lift type needs a minimum ceiling. Clearing it isn't enough. We also take off your vehicle's height and 6 in of clearance to see how high it can actually go.

Under 48 in of rise, you can't stand under it, so we call it limited, not a fit.

usable rise = ceiling − vehicle height − 6 in

Then the slab. Most 10,000 lb lifts need at least 4 in of 3,000 PSI concrete, fully cured, with no cracks near the posts. If you don't know your slab, we won't clear any lift. How to check your slab.
