Short answer
You don't need an account, and we don't sell your data. Your email only gets what you signed up for.
What we keep
| What | Why | Who holds it | How it's kept |
|---|---|---|---|
| Calculator answers | Counting which verdicts people get, so we can fix the numbers | Our database (Postgres on Railway) | Anonymous. No email, IP address or account tied to it. |
| Your email, if you sign up | Sending the email you asked for | MailerLite | Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it |
| Page views | Seeing which pages people use | Fathom Analytics | No cookies, nothing that identifies you |
Your garage stays in the link
Your answers live in the page address, so you can bookmark or share them. Your browser also remembers your recent garages on your own device. We can't see that list.
Amazon links
We earn a small cut when you buy through our Amazon links. It doesn't change your price. When you click one, Amazon sets its own cookies to track the sale. Their privacy notice covers that.
Ads
We may run ads later. If we do, they'll be picked by the page topic, like car lifts. Your answers and your email never go to an ad network.
Getting your data deleted
Every email has an unsubscribe link. To have your email deleted outright, write to privacy@specmygarage.com and we'll do it within 30 days.
